About animals.

I have just got a new pet and its inspired me to even make a blog about animals.I am gonna tell you about lots of different animals.First of all I am going to tell you about.....

*CATS*
If you get a cat you must know that it has different feelings,names,ages,breeds,likes & dislikes.
E.G.
Name:Tibby
Age:2
Breed:Tortoishell
Likes:Being outside & Tuna
Dislikes:Being Shut in or Going To the vet.

Now I am gonna tell you about cats bones.
There are 4 main bone groups in a cats body.

*Long bones-cylindrical bones filled with bone marrow;these are found in the limbs.

*Short bones-these consist of a spongy core surrounded by compact bone;found in the feet and kneecap.

*Irregular bones-similar to short bones but in irregular shapes;long strings of these make up the spine and tail.

*Flat bones-consist of two layers of compact bone with a spongier layer in the middle;these are seen in the skull,pelvis and shoulder blades.

Ok I have told you about cats bones.

So know I will now tell you about Paws and Claws.

Each of your cats front paws
has five toes,including the 'thumblike' dewclaw.
These are each made up of three small bones (two are for the dewclaw).
The back feet are the same but
they only have four toes each.
The toes all have a claw at the end.
Tiny specialised bones and
ligaments allow the claws to be
extended or contrasted at will.
The ligaments hold the claws back
when not needed and the cat then
uses muscles to pull the tendons
connected to the claws and extend them.

Fact
*Your cats tail is
actually an
extension of there
back bone.

If you get a dog you must know that it has different feeling,names,ages,breeds,likes & dislikes.
